Liam
Founded the studio and still works a chair like everyone else.
Alex
Runs the studio day to day and does the laser removal at Ink Off next door. He does not tattoo.
Between them they induct every new artist before their first day, and they are who you talk to if anything about the room needs sorting.

How much does it cost to hire a tattoo chair in Melbourne?
$100 for the day, GST included. The studio takes nothing else — no cut of your rate, ever.

What does commission-free actually mean?
You pay for the chair. You keep 100% of what you charge.
A commission studio takes an agreed percentage of every tattoo — usually 30% to 50%. Here it is a flat fee for the day, so the more you earn the better the deal gets.
What do I get for the day?
The whole calendar day. Morning to midnight if the work runs.
A booking is the whole calendar day, not a shift. Start in the morning, work as late as midnight — nobody moves you on at six because a long sit ran long.
When do I pay?
Card or cash at the studio, on the day. Nothing up front, and cancel free up to 48 hours out.
Shorter notice is fine, just tell us — an empty chair hurts a room this size, and a message means we can fill it.
Am I insured?
The studio is. You bring your own public liability.
The studio carries its own insurance for the premises. As with any chair hire, you need your own public liability cover to tattoo here — bring the certificate to your induction.
Which chair do I get?
Whichever is free when you walk in. Three of them, no allocation.
There are three chairs and none of them is assigned. Your booking is the whole day; you take whichever chair is free when you get in. On most days there is a choice.
What do I bring?
Machine, power supply, ink, needles, cartridges. Your client.
We supply barrier film, bed roll and cleaning gear, sterilisation and waste handling, a chair set up for long sessions, coffee, and enough floor for a six-hour sit.
How do I start?
Book a day. Liam or Alex inducts you before you work.
Book online straight away — you can hold two days before you have been inducted. Liam or Alex runs a short walk-through of the studio (where everything lives, how we handle hygiene and waste) before your first day. After that the limit comes off.
Can I book a single day?
A day is the only way we hire a chair. Book as many separate ones as you like.
